How to find us!

Examination and diagnosis for women

Digital examination (palpation)

Palpation is a method to diagnose abnormalities and other alterations of the body that can cause infertility.

The next step to examine the reproductive organs is the ultrasound.

Blood test

The aim of fertility treatment is the determination of the exact time of ovulation, as well as the stimulation of egg cell maturation. We monitor the follicles by ultrasound and often take a blood test to determine cycle-related hormone levels. Hormone levels are measured inside the hormone laboratory.

Examination of the fallopian tubes

In case of suspected occlusion, the fallopian tubes can be examined by ultrasound or x-ray. Anesthesia is not required.

Appropriate treatment is initiated depending on whether hormonal causes, malformation of the fallopian tubes or uterus, cervix mucus insufficiency or endometriosis are the cause of infertility.

Laparoscopic surgery

Laparoscopy is an operation performed in the abdomen or pelvis through small incisions. By inserting a small camera it is possible to diagnose and remove ovarian cysts, adhesions or areas of endometriosis.

A hysteroscopy is performed to determine uterine malformations, fibroids or alterations of the endometrium. A very thin endoscope is inserted transvaginally guided to inspect the uterine cavity and the endometrium.

Cycle monitoring

Cycle monitoring can be carried out in a spontaneous or stimulated cycle (through the administration of pills or hormone injections). Drug therapy with injections over a period of 1-2 weeks is a prerequisite for some forms of treatment such as IVF (in-vitro fertilisation) and ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection).
